Frankfort, Indiana’s municipal course, Frankfort Commons Public Golf Course, will be hosting a city-wide golf tournament to encourage friendly and fun competition among community members.  The 3rd Annual Frankfort City Golf Tournament will be held Saturday & Sunday, August 24-25, beginning at 8:00 AM.  The event is an 18-hole, individual stroke play tournament that will be open to all golfers, with divisions for men, women, juniors and seniors.

Along with a $25,000 opportunity on Saturday, the City Tournament will offer participants plenty of extras on and off the course.  Both days will feature on-course games as well as net prizes for the winners of each division.  Good competition and quality greens will be available for players all weekend looking to roll in those winning putts.

Frankfort Common’s Head Golf Professional, Andrew O’Dell, says he’s excited to meet both new and returning faces for this year’s event.  “I’ve had the pleasure of meeting a lot of great people since I moved to the area with my wife, Shannon, in January.  We hope the event will bring out both avid golfers and new players to the game.”  To sign up, Andrew suggests stopping by the golf shop before 8:00 PM to pick up a registration form, or to visit our website for online registration anytime.  The 3rd Annual City Golf Tournament is sponsored by Kasper Broadcasting – tune in to 96.9 FM, 1570 AM and 99.7 FM.
